Hopstay is an Australian-French startup specialised in advanced knowledge management in the smart city & tourism space. Our platform helps cities & regions optimise citizen support & improve urban experience through AI-supported knowledge management & smart digital assistants (chatbots & voicebots).

Hopstay has helped citizens all over the world in a number of ways. We’ve launched projects enabling people to find car parks using voice activation. We’ve built messenger apps that tell people when their rubbish is being collected to improve urban sustainability outcomes. We’ve helped customer service agents process thousands of neighbourhood issues with maximum efficiency.

Hopstay’s founders are 2 Australian guys - Lucas & Mitch - who relocated their company from Adelaide, Australia to Paris a few years ago with the French Tech Ticket Program. By joining Hopstay, you’ll be exposed to an international team with an international client base by working on projects in France, Australia, the UK, US, Hungary, Denmark & many more. This international focus comes naturally to foreign-born founders & underpins Hopstay's work around the globe.

Job Description

You will work closely with the CEO to identify leads and prospect potential clients in both France & around the world. This is a diverse role that will involve a number of different tasks, some of which are detailed below.

Key Tasks

  • Manage prospects using internal CRM tools
  • Interact with prospects & own your own sales funnel, under the guidance & direction of founders
  • Identify opportunities through market research & networking, both online & offline
  • Draft business proposals
  • Design & create marketing & sales materials, case studies & market research reports
  • Drive product features & upgrades based on client requirements & priorities
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making

All tasks will be performed under the guidance of founders to ensure positive progression & career development.

Preferred Experience

You would be a great fit for this role if you:

  • Are bilingual & have an interest in learning more about international business and doing business both in France & abroad
  • Have a high level of technical expertise and pick up new programs & tools quickly
  • Are a confident communicator and enjoy the challenge of interacting with prospects & customers both on the phone and in person
  • Have strong editorial & writing skills for the purpose of emailing & drafting marketing collateral (in your native language)
  • Are willing & able to work in an English speaking environment
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit & consider yourself a team player!

  • Contract Type: Internship (Between 4 and 6 months)

  • Salary: between 750€ and 1000€ / month
